Artificial Cloud 2019, installation.

“Artificial Cloud”is a kinetic installation made out of low level electronics, plant and thermal conductive components. It is an interface between a bio-chemical system and a thermo molecular system. It is programmed to provide water to the plant by concentrating the moisture on its surface and bringing raindrop in accordance with the needs of the plant with the data obtained from the soil.

Freely travelling vaporized water molecules on the air informed by the moisture level into soil via Artificial Cloud’s cold surface which imitates the process of atmospheric condensation.

Alluminium cooling block, sensors, cables…and electricity to feed the cloud are all the material bodies of this cloud. This artwork criticizes technogianism and shows us a dystopic effort of staying alive via artificial process and the cost of this process.
