Artist statement & CV

Volkan Dincer (b.1997, TR), he is Austria based media artist. He began combining sound and visual arts during his BA painting and art philosophy. His interest on electronic media deepened during his study on painting and art philosophy (BA), which became core to his artistic practice as a tool for understanding the environment such as relations between organisms and their surroundings.
His works questions the systemic relations, functions and ecological problems within a research field that spans a wide range from perception tendencies to cultural materialism. Following these; his MA research in Interface Culture is on mineral and energy transformations through the organization ways of an organism is complementary for the concept behind his artistic productions.
He continues his artistic production and research at Linz.

 

His works has been exhibited internationally including Contemporary Istanbul(TR), Ars Electronica, Linz(AT), Pixxelpoint, Nova Gorica(SI), Cairotronica, Cairo(EG), Wallraf-Richartz-Museum and Museum Ludwig e.V.,Cologne, Main Station(DE
