Artist statement & CV

Volkan Dincer (b.1997, TR), he is media artist. After studying painting, he began combining sound and visual arts during his BA at University of Marmara. His interest in electronic media deepened during this period, which became core to his artistic practice as a tool for understanding the environment such as relations between organisms and their surroundings. He lives and produces in Austria, Linz.

 

 

His works focus on inter-system relations and ecological problems within a research field that spans a wide range from perception tendencies to cultural materialism. Following these his master research is on mineral and energy transformations through the organization ways of an organism.

He continues his artistic production and research in Linz.

 

His works has been exhibited internationally including Contemporary Istanbul(TR), Ars Electronica, Linz(AT), Pixxelpoint, Nova Gorica(SI), Cairotronica, Cairo(EG), Wallraf-Richartz-Museum and Museum Ludwig e.V.,Cologne, Main Station(DE)
